Horned Frogs ready to tangle with Baylor
After months of trying to fulfill our football addiction through spring games, summer practice reports and late night game replays on ESPN Classic, the opening weekend of college football is finally upon us. Starting tomorrow, college football fans from all over the nation will gather in living rooms and stadiums to watch their favorite teams take the field. The scenario this weekend in Waco will be no different, when fans of the Baylor Bears and TCU Horned Frogs gather in Floyd Casey Stadium to watch the 103rd meeting in a series that started in 1899.
The overall series currently stands at 47-49-7 in favor of the Bears, but this is the first time that the teams will match up since they left the Southwest Conference at the end of the 1995 season. Since that time, TCU has been a member of three different conferences and has had three different coaches at the helm.
