A&M hits the road to face Army in San Antonio
Texas A&M will hit the road for its first "road" trip of the season when the Aggies are technically the visitors against Army in San Antonio Saturday at 8:15 p.m. at the Alamodome.
Army (1-1) isn't the same team that took Iowa State to the wire last year's non-conference season. After losing most of their offensive playmakers to graduation, the Black Knights are barely moving the ball so far in 2006.
In their first two games, a 14-6 loss to Arkansas State and an overtime 17-14 win over Kent State, Army has averaged just 219.5 yards per game and 11.5 points.
Led by junior quarterback David Peveto, a native of Colleyville, Tex., Army isn't moving the ball well at all and have done so against weak competition.
Peveto has completed 26 of 51 passes this season for 199 yards. In comparison, A&M sophomore quarterback Stephen McGee has gained more than that in each of his two starts - and he hasn't even played a full game yet.
