Analysis: K-State's D can't do it alone

GoPowercat.com Kansas State coach Ron Prince made it perfectly clear following Saturday's game with Louisville that his team did not take comfort in playing a competitive game with the eighth-ranked Louisville Cardinals.
"We weren't trying to play the game just to get the game to the fourth quarter and be close. We were trying to win the game and see if we can play with these guys," Prince said. "We were kind of excited about that. To be honest with you there was an extra spark to our team this week. We had some better practices and we were excited. We are not going to coach scared. We are going to coach smart and be bold and daring. If you are going to pull of an upset like this you are going to do that. They were a terrific team."
