Notre Dame sophomore Kyle McCarthy hasn't had much of a chance to help the Irish on the football field so far in his career but he might have a hand in helping the Irish land one of the top junior prospects in the state of Ohio next season.

McCarthy's brother Daniel McCarthy is a junior at Youngstown Cardinal Mooney and the 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback/safety prospect was in South Bend when the Irish hosted Penn State.
