Jacksonville, Fla., First Coast safety Arkee Smith took his first official visit of the recruiting process recently when he traveled to Columbia, S.C., to check out the South Carolina Gamecocks.

"It was a good visit to me," the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Smith said. "I really liked it a lot."

Smith, who racked up over 40 tackles and two interceptions as a junior, said multiple aspects of the visit stood out to him.
