JUCO linebacker has Michigan offer

TheWolverine.com Michigan has not been known for scouring the JUCO ranks for prospects in the past. The last player to come from the JUCO ranks and strap on a winged helmet was Russell Shaw (1996-97) who hailed from El Camino Community College in California. Now, however, the Wolverines may are targeting at least two prospects from College of the Sequoias in Visalia, Calif.
Brian Ellis was a three-star tight end prospect coming out of Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland High School in the class of 2005 and signed with Florida. When he did not qualify academically, he enrolled in College of the Sequoias and is now a 6-4, 235-pound middle linebacker prospect. Now, his recruiting process is starting all over again.
