After struggling with eligibility issues surrounding a transfer, Clemson verbal commit Xavier Dye has officially been declared eligible by the South Carolina High School League to play football this season for Duncan - James F. Byrnes.

Dye and his uncle moved to Duncan from Greenwood this past summer. The SCHSL ruled that Dye hadn't made a legit change of address and denied his eligibility request.
