Dupree's rise has been meteoric
In year's past Oklahoma has been fairly stingy with its early offers but the class of 2008 has seen a record number of offers flying out, or at least being claimed by players around the country. One such player's story may be the most intriguing of all as the Sooners noticed him as a junior varsity player last year for mighty Dallas Skyline.
The player is 6-foot-3, 210-pound Alfred Dupree, and while he hasn't as of yet received the official documentation of his offer he explained just how things took place with the Sooners earlier this year.
Dupree, who is currently listed as a weakside defensive end prospect, is also receiving mail from national powers like Notre Dame, Florida State, and Texas A&M among others, but as of yet the Sooners are his lone offer.
