UCLA gets road win
With heavy hearts and sporting black bands the UCLA Bruins went out and did the work necessary to get their first victory on the road. It was an important win because it made the Bruins Bowl eligible. The story was UCLA's very stout defense and a mostly anemic offense that did muster up enough big plays to get the job done.
The first play went well for the Bruins as Patrick Cowan hit Chris Markey out of the backfield for 14 yard to move the chains.
The drive went quickly south as Cowan hit Markey again but this time for a six yard loss and then on the very next play Cowan fumbled that was fortunately recovered by Bruin guard Shannon Tevaga to insure an Aaron Perez punt.
