Kentucky has landed a verbal commitment from one of the top-rated players on its football recruiting board.

Four-star LaGrange (Ga.) defensive end D.J. Stafford gave his commitment to the Wildcats on Thanksgiving Day. He is ranked the No. 12 strongside defensive end in the nation by Rivals.com.

"Since my official visit, I felt like that was the right place for me," Stafford said. "I've been really high on them for a long time. It will be a good home for me."
