WVSports.com MORGANTOWN--A big, ol' strong-armed right-hander broke through a week's worth of rumors and innuendo, reports and mixed signals, he-said-she-said to shock even Mountaineer Nation Saturday night for a 41-39 triple-OT WVU victory in the final game of the regular season. Toppling Rutgers (10-2, 5-2) meant this senior class became the winningest in the history of West Virginia football (37 victories), ensured the Mountaineers a second-straight double-digit wins season (10-2, 5-2) and effectively eliminated Rutgers' chances of a Big East championship and subsequent BCS bowl berth. Both will fall into the hands of Louisville, by virtue of its 11-1 overall record and 6-1 Big East record.
