Alexis Wangmene is meeting tough challenges in the classroom at Blair Academy, but the support he receives on a daily basis and the friendships he has quickly made have the 6-foot-8, 237-pound power forward all smiles at his new home. While Blair Academy got its season off on the right foot with a 76-45 win, Wangmene is keeping his focus on academics as much as rebounding.

Blair Academy played its first game November 19 against Tilton Academy, winning 76-45. Wangmene played sparingly due to the blowout, but finished with 12 points and six rebounds.
