Verbum Dei standout makes college choice
Los Angeles (Calif.) Verbum Dei defensive end/tight end Justin Edison (6-4, 220, 4.8) has made his college choice and in a way he is following in his father's footsteps.
Edison has committed to Oregon State over another offer from Fresno State. Arizona, Oregon, San Diego State and Colorado were also showing interest the talented defensive end from Verbum Dei.
Oregon State gets a player who was instrumental in garnering Verbum Dei's first CIF championship since 1982. Incidentally, Edison has a connection to Verbum Dei's 1982 CIF championship.
Edison's Dad, Harold Edison, was a key performer on that 1982 Verbum Dei team and coincidently was recruited to Cal State Northridge by Oregon State defensive coordinator Mark Banker.
