FSU making strong push for Shrine Bowl MVP
Florida State has one solid and one very soft wide receiver commitment for the 2007 recruiting class and they may not be done at the position. One place they are looking is to South Carolina and Markish Jones, a 6-foot, 185-pound wideout from Spartanburg (SC) Broome High School.
This past Saturday, Jones showed at the Shrine Bowl (North-South Carolina all-star game) why he is highly coveted by several schools. When the dust settled in the game, he took home the offensive MVP honors for the South Carolina squad.
Jones, a Clemson commit, said FSU is not the only other school trying to unseat the Tigers. Tennessee, Kentucky, and Maryland are continuing to recruit him and he says all five schools are even.
