Players excited about playing the Irish
It was back to the practice field Sunday for the LSU football team.
Following a three-plus week break after the regular season finale against Arkansas, the Tigers are now ready to concentrate solely on their meeting with Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 3.
"Practice went real well on Sunday," junior defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey said. "The break was good. You can get your legs back underneath you. Being away from football, you miss it."
Guard Brian Johnson, the veteran of the offensive line, supported Dorsey's analysis of beginning preparations for the Fighting Irish after some time off.
