Uncertainty leads Tanner to schedule new visits
Torrance (Calif.) El Camino College cornerback Damilyn Tanner had considered himself committed to Iowa State's former football staff after an October official visit. But it may not have been mutual. Tanner is scheduling new visits now while he waits to see if the new Cyclone staff will pick up the interest in him.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Tanner said that he finally talked to an Iowa State assistant coach last week, the first contact he's had since Dan McCarney's resignation and the subsequent staff overhaul.
"I talked to one of the new coaches there, I don't remember his name," Tanner explained. "I tried to tell him that I was already committed to Iowa State and he was surprised by that. I'm still interested in them but I am looking at other schools, too."
