Cowboys' future bright after win over Bama

OStateIllustrated.com SHREVEPORT, La. - That's why it's called a jinx.
You know those moments. Those times when you say something confidently and assuredly, knowing something is in the bag, only to regret it soon after everything falls apart.
Well, I have a confession. I almost cost Oklahoma State a win in the Independence Bowl against Alabama.
In my Gameday Blog of the contest against the Tide, I said the following:
BTW, I think that's ballgame. Beautiful fade to the corner (similar to Bedlam 2001 but not exactly) and it was thrown in a position where only Bowman could catch it.
That line was in reference to the sweet catch Adarius Bowman made in the end zone to put the Pokes up 31-17, and basically sealing the game away for OSU.
Or so I thought. That comment was made at 6:21 p.m. Mere minutes later, the (Crimson) Tide literally turned.
Oops. Anyone who knows the history of OSU athletics (except wrestling) should realize to never count a game as a win until the next night after all precincts are in and results have been re-counted. Silly me.
There, confession is always good for the soul, isn't it?
