Jacksonville (Fla.) Ed White three-star running back Eric Baker committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks last month over schools such as Clemson, West Virginia, Louisville, Georgia Tech and others, and two of those schools have not given up on landing him.

"Clemson and West Virginia are still recruiting me hard," the 5-foot-11, 186-pound Baker said. "They're trying to get me to take a visit to their school, but I don't plan to do that. I'm firmly committed to South Carolina. I'm going to be enrolling there on July 7th."
