Video: Curran made plays in Orlando
Chad Simmons
UGASports.com Georgia commit Rennie Curran was selected to play in the East Meets West All-American Bowl down in Orlando (Fla.) last weekend and he showed why he was chosen. Curran was around the football all game and he had a couple of big hits too. He lead the East in tackles and you can see his highlights right here.
Curran measured in at 5-foot-11, 216-pounds and he started at middle linebacker for the East.
After having a great three days of practices, he went out there and played even better in the game. He has a nose for the football and instincts that you can't teach. If you put that with his speed, strength, and toughness, then you have a playmaker at linebacker.
Curran did a good job of getting to the ball, making the tackles, and playing off blocks during this game. The East played a lot of cover one, so Curran was alone in the middle often, but that didn't slow him down.
