Interesting story for Illinois TE
A starter his sophomore and junior years at Edwardsville High School, Nicholas Plato was being recruited as a class of 2007 tight end and was receiving heavy interest from several BCS schools including Oklahoma State. An unfortunate circumstance occurred, though, when Plato broke his left arm in an auto accident and that has led to him to requalify to the 2008 class after being cleared to do so by the state.
Plato currently holds scholarship offers from Colorado, Illinois, Oklahoma State, Hawaii, and Nebraska.
