Zook makes in-home visit with Cornell
Six-foot-seven, 300-pound Quincy (Ill.) Notre Dame offensive tackle Jack Cornell Jr. knows all about the ever-changing world of college football. When Michigan State fired John L. Smith this past season, Cornell found that all the relationships he made with the coaches in East Lansing that led him to commit to the Spartans became trivial.
History is repeating itself again, but on a more minor scale. Cornell committed to Ron Zook's Illini after decommitting from the Spartans, but days ago he found out that former Illini offensive line coach Ed Warriner accepted a job from Kansas to direct their offense.
