Milstead talks about why he chose the Cavaliers
Sunday brought news that even shocked the most seasoned follower of UVa recruiting. Lamar Milstead's decision to decommit from North Carolina and to commit to the Cavaliers was met with sense of disbelief by fans of both the Tar Heels and Cavaliers. All signs pointed toward the Ballou star re-affirming his commitment to Butch Davis and Carolina over the weekend during his official visit to Chapel Hill. Why did Milstead change his mind?
"When I was thinking about committing over the summer, I wanted to make sure I was a solid. Virginia had been recruiting me very hard since my tenth grade year but I really felt like the loss of Ron Prince was big on mind. North Carolina had been with me from the beginning as well and I felt a connection with John Bunting."
