Athlete Alonzo Tweedy out of Richmond (Va.) Hermitage wasn't one of the many committed Virginia Tech players to make an official visit this weekend. The 6-foot-1, 173-pounder however has scheduled a trip to Blacksburg in the next couple weeks.

"I'm taking my official visit on February 2nd," he said. "I'm looking forward to going to the school and checking out the program some more. I also want to get to know the coaches better."

Since committing to Tech back in July, the two-star prospect has been in regular contact with Jim Cavanaugh.
