Texas junior picks up first offer

HawkeyeReport.com The Iowa Hawkeyes extended a scholarship offer this month to Class of 2008 defensive end Blake Chavis. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound junior is the younger brother of highly recruited Class of 2007 prospect Billy Chavis.
Along with Iowa, the junior is currently receiving interest from Missouri, Clemson, and Arizona, which are all schools recruiting his older brother. The siblings, who attend West Brook High School in Beaumont, Texas, have already talked about playing together at the next level. Now the question is, where will Billy Chavis go? After visiting Arizona, Clemson, Iowa, Missouri, and Texas A&M, he is set to make a decision in the next week.
