Whaley recaps his official visit

TheWolfpacker.com Justin Whaley was one of the few NC State commitments who had already had his chance to meet new head coach Tom O'Brien. Whaley, a lineman from Hunt High in Wilson, N.C., was in Raleigh in December for a basketball game. Two weekends ago he took his official visit to N.C. State, and it was his first time to meet his likely position coach at State, offensive line coach Don Horton.
The 6-foot-4, 265-pounder played both lines at Hunt but projects to be an offensive guard at N.C. State. Whaley wrapped up a senior season where he had 57 tackles and six sacks on defense and 17 pancake blocks on offense. As a junior, Whaley had 43 tackles and eight sacks.
