Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson defensive end Claude Davis has switched his verbal commitment from South Florida to a Mid-American Conference program. The pass-rushing specialist spoke with Rivals.com about his decision.

"Yes, I committed to Toledo," Davis said. "I mean, everything was nice up there. The coaches were nice up there, the players were real nice. I'll get to come in an play as a true freshman and one of my friends who is going up there will be my roommate."

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Davis, one of the stars of the Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star game, previously was committed to South Florida.
