Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman High School star two-way linemen Po'u Palelei, the No. 26 offensive guard in the nation by Rivals.com verbally committed to Arizona State on Wednesday, several days after returning home from an official visit to the Tempe campus.

Palelei said in an earlier conversation that he would likely wait until Signing Day to make his decision known, but his overwhelming feelings for Arizona State made it an impossible secret to keep.

Palelei, 6-foot-3 and 330 pounds, is the No. 2 ranked prospect in Nevada by Rivals.com. He was expected to visit Texas A&M this weekend, but he canceled that trip, with his decision ultimately coming down to Washington and ASU.
