Coach gives high praise for Sagesse
On Thursday, Michigan pulled in commitments No. 19 and 20, the first coming from defensive lineman Renaldo Sagesse. While he didn't get much attention in the recruiting rankings being from outside the U.S. borders, Montreal Vieux head coach Claude Juneau gives high praise in describing him as a player.
"Well, he was a team captain this year," said of Sagesse. "He was also the MVP of the league last year. He was on the all-star team all three years in a row. He was considered one of the best d-linemen in the whole nation here in Canada. He was highly recruited by other Big Ten schools. He's a big boy with great speed for a big man at 6-4, 300 pounds. He's got quick feet. He's got a huge reach. He's an intelligent player - he's got football sense. He used to play basketball, so he's really quick off the ball. He's got a great personality also - team player."
