Top Florida junior impressed by Rutgers
Ever since Coach Greg Schiano came to Rutgers, the Scarlet Knights have made it a priority to recruit South Florida. Through the last several years RU has reeled in a number of talented players, but now with more success on the field, will they be able to successfully recruit the top-rated players in the region? One player that is definitely on the priority list for Rutgers in the Class of 2008 is DB Brandon Harris of Booker T. Washington High School in Miami.
Harris, 5-foot-10 and 180-pounds, lined up all over the field as a junior and succeeded at each position. As a quarterback he finished 7 of 7 for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns, as a wide receiver he had 560 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns on 35 receptions, and as a defensive back he added 32 tackles, 5 interceptions, and 2 defensive touchdowns.
