Dallas (TX) Madison High School running back Shawnbrey McNeal received a verbal Miami offer Jan. 19.

At the time he was a Texas A&M commitment -- he had gone on national television in September to announce that commitment.

Four days after he got the UM offer, though, he switched over to the Canes.

And now he is a confirmed UM signee.

"I've been liking the Canes for a long time, since Willis McGahee was there," McNeal said. "Miami fit me best mentally and emotionally. I love the Canes."
