Georgia DE emerges at NIKE Combine
ATLANTA, GA - More than 1,300 prospects from multiple states in the southeast turned out Saturday at Douglass High School for the NIKE Combine. One of the prospects that emerged from this event was defensive end Chaz Sutton. Sutton is a jumbo-athlete that put up big numbers on both sides of the ball as a junior. A couple schools have already offered this Peach State junior.
"Rutgers and Virginia Tech have already offered and Auburn said they were sending me an offer next week," said Sutton.
Two offers are already in and a third may be on its way, but expect Sutton to pick up many more before his senior season begins.
"I get a lot of letters from the University of Florida, LSU, Boston College, South Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia. Those schools send me a lot, but I get letters from a lot of other schools too."
It looks like the Gators are sitting pretty early with Sutton, but five others have his interest too.
"I have a high interest in Florida and then I also like Rutgers, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Auburn, and South Carolina."
Sutton has already visited one of his favorites for a Junior Day and he will visit another one next weekend.
"I went down to Florida last weekend and it was great," Sutton said. "Everything they have is great. I like Florida."
