Younger Chavis gets Aggie offer
With the ink barely dry on the letters-of-intent for the class of 2007, Texas A&M is turning even more attention to the class of 2008. With 11 commitments in hand, the Aggie coaching staff has the luxury of being selective when it comes to which players they want to fill the remaining openings in the class. One such player that passed the test is Beaumont West Brook defensive end Blake Chavis.
If the last name sounds familiar, there is a reason. Blake's older brother, Billy Chavis, signed with A&M this past Wednesday. However, the younger Chavis is certainly a worthy prospect in his own right. At 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, he is the type of speed rush end that colleges covet.
Blake Chavis has scholarship offers from Iowa and Texas A&M with heavy interest coming from LSU and Missouri.
