Vols trying luck again in Georgia
There was a time during the mid 1990's that Tennessee had it's pick of the best players in the state of Georgia, but that changed with a few coaching changes at the turn of the last decade. Georgia lured Tennessee's ace in the recruiting hole Rodney Garner to Athens, then hired Florida State offensive coordinator Mark Richt to be their head coach. The combination of Garner and instant success under Richt took Tennessee's pipeline in the peach state away, but that didn't stop Phillip Fulmer from going into Suburban Atlanta to recruit Georgia's number 1 prospect in 2007, Eric Berry (Creekside), and convince him to leave Georgia for Knoxville.
Now less than a month after Berry put his "John Hancock" on the dotted line to play for the Vols, Tennessee's attention is back on Fairburn, Georgia. This time the target is defensive back Terrance Parks.
