Witherspoon humble about his recruitment
Two injuries in two seasons have not gotten Marcus Witherspoon dejected.
Instead, the linebacker from Holy Spirit in Absecon, N.J. is motivated to make sure that his senior year will be injury free. A hamstring injury his sophomore year coupled with a shoulder dislocation a year ago both have prevented the 6-foot-2, 215-pound prospect from playing at 100 percent.
Shoulder surgery on Dec. 5 corrected the ailment that hampered the junior during the 2006 campaign, and he feels that he is fully recovered and ready to go. Witherspoon battled through the pain and played the majority of the games for Holy Spirit despite the severity of the shoulder injury.
