Coach comments on McGuffie's growing mystique

He leaps press boxes in a single bound. He can throw a pass the entire length of the field and is fast enough to catch it. The legend of Cypress, Texas, tailback Sam McGuffie seems to be growing by the day thanks to impressive video, junior year stats and an ever-increasing list of offers. TheWolverine.com caught up with McGuffie's head coach to separate the fact from the fiction, and his answers might be surprising.

The 6-0, 185-pound McGuffie, who sports offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Florida and Alabama among others, has quite a list of accomplishments. As a junior he rushed for 3,212 yards and 44 touchdowns on 358 carries, averaging close to 30 carries a game.
