Mishawaka (Ind.) Penn offensive lineman Braxston Cave grew up a hop, skip and a jump away from Notre Dame. As a child, the 6-foot-4, 295-pounder dreamed of donning the blue and gold of the Irish.
Now a junior in high school, Cave is close to realizing that dream. On Tuesday, he picked up a scholarship offer from head coach Charlie Weis.
