Thomas Grove considered a number of college options. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound athlete out of Arlington (Neb.), held scholarship offers from a number of colleges and received some late recruiting interest from Iowa State.

In the end, however, Grove concluded that a chance to walk-on and play for the team he had been rooting for his entire life was just too good to pass up.
