Florida LB likes in-state schools
MELBOURNE, Fla.- Palm Bay linebacker/safety prospect Ramon Buchanon has collected multiple scholarship offers and could emerge as one of the top prospects in the Sunshine State for the Class of 2008.
"Florida State, Florida, Miami (Fla.), Auburn and Tennessee have offered," he said. "Georgia and Wake Forest also are looking at me."
Currently, two in-state programs are at the top of the speedy 6-foot, 200-pounder's list.
"Florida and Florida State right now," he said. "I like Florida State's campus and their coaching strategy up there. I've seen Florida's facilities and liked them."
Buchanon got an up-close look at the UF campus by attending the Gators' Friday Night Lights camp last summer.
"It was a good experience," he said.
