Nearly a dozen Virginia Tech offers went out recently to prospects across the country. One of those scholarships went to a 6-foot-2, 211-pound linebacker out of the Peach State in McDonough (Ga.) Union Grove prospect Steven Sylvester.
"I got offers in the past couple weeks from North Carolina and Virginia Tech," he said. "I'm flattered by both of them. North Carolina has a new coaching staff and I feel they are moving in the right direction and want me to be part of that.
"It says a lot that they want me to play linebacker at Virginia Tech. They always have a very good defense."
