D-line is NU's biggest question this spring
As Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan said on national signing day, Nebraska lost more than just their entire front four this off-season.
Callahan said NU lost what he called their "front five," when you factor in what outside linebacker Stewart Bradley brought to the table this past season.
In all, Bradley, along with defensive ends Jay Moore and Adam Carriker are expected to be first day NFL draft picks, while defensive tackles Barry Cryer and Ola Dagundoro also have a chance to get drafted or sign as free agents.
The top returnees on the defensive line for Nebraska are junior defensive end Barry Turner and sophomore defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. However, Turner will miss all of spring ball with a shoulder injury, which has forced defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove to make former outside linebacker and tight end Clayton Sievers the No. 1 open side defensive end this spring.
