Chapman hitting the weights
Future Texas Longhorn center Clint Chapman and his Canby teammates had state title hopes entering the season. As is the case with many teams, Canby had the hopes within its sight until losing in the state quarterfinals at the Oregon state tournament. Even though Canby didn't win the elusive state title, the 6-foot-11 big man takes away a lot of positives from his senior season.
While the season didn't end with a ceremony to cut down the nets, Chapman spent 32 minutes cutting down Benson Tech in the second round of the playoffs. He recorded his first career triple double in the second-round win.
Chapman's career is over at Canby High, but the No. 67 player in the 2007 class will take part in one last game in his home state of Oregon before moving on to Austin.
