Tide pursuing in-state RB
With a banner year for running backs expected in the 2008 in-state recruiting class, and the Crimson Tide already holding two commitments at the position, the competition for further spots figures to be tight. One dynamic back from the suburbs of Birmingham appears to have made the cut for Alabama's future wishlist.
"Oh yeah, Alabama is still recruiting me hard," said Vestavia Hills' running back Justin Rogers who led the Rebels to the Class 6A state semifinals. "Coach (Kevin) Steele will text me every day."
With commitments already from Jermaine Preyear and Ivan Matchett, it is likely that the Tide will sign no more than one more true taiback for 2008.
