Linebacker target visits
Perhaps the highest-profile of those recruits who've come through Purdue's spring practices to date has been linebacker Brett Nagel, by sheer virtue of the fact the Lemont, Ill., native already has a Boilermaker offer.
Nagel came through West Lafayette Friday on an unofficial visit, at which time he attended the Boilermakers' scrimmage that day and met with the coaches recruiting him.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pounder entered the recruiting process with advance intel on the Boilermakers.
His older brother, Aaron Nagel, signed last year with Notre Dame. He committed early to the Fighting Irish, but not after taking a look at, and a pair of visits to, Purdue. Seeing his brother go through recruiting has helped Brett Nagel hit the ground running this spring.
