Irish turn to Page on offensive line
On the field, Kenneth Page strives for perfection.
In the classroom, the 6-foot-4, 290-pound athlete is already on his way to achieving it. A 4.0 grade point average at Flora High School in Columbia, S.C., reflects a top prospect intent on balancing football and academics. With that kind of profile, it's no wonder Notre Dame offered Page a scholarship on Tuesday, following suit with most of the ACC and SEC.
Head coach Charlie Weis and defensive backs coach Bill Lewis caught up with Page during a recruiting trip to Florida. Page will visit the University of Central Florida on Thursday, trek to Florida State on Friday and wrap up his spring break swing at Florida's spring game on Saturday. Next weekend, while Notre Dame stages its Blue-Gold Game, Page will attend a combine at the University of Georgia.
