Hall looking to future
Derrick Hall is a wanted man. The do-it-all athlete from Beaumont Central High School has seen his recruiting stock rise rapidly in the past few weeks. While many schools were worried that Hall would lose his trademark speed after a late-season injury in 2006, Texas A&M took the chance and offered. The Aggies were rewarded with a commitment from Hall in February.

The 5-foot-10, 201-pound speedster ran the anchor leg on his high school's 4x100 meter relay team and led them to the district championship. With Hall showing more speed while injured than almost any healthy prospect, he has garnered several new scholarship offers.
"Arkansas just offered me today," Hall said. "I've got offers now from A&M, Boise State, Arkansas, LSU and Oklahoma State. I know there are a few more, but I can't remember them right now."
