Burrell Always Wanted to be a Spartan
Detroit Southeastern athlete Charles Burrell threw for 1,600 yards and 22 touchdowns while piling up 2,000 yards and 30 touchdowns of total offense as a junior.
But Michigan State's first commitment for the 2008 recruiting class is likely to make an impact on the defensive side of the football for Spartan coach Mark Dantonio.
Burrell, who grew up favoring Michigan State after watching them live against Michigan as a freshman, is excited about the opportunity he has to play football for Mark Dantonio in East Lansing.
