While Illinois' annual spring game typically attracts some of the top players from around the state and region, few end up making the journey from as far away as Florida. That's exactly what 6-foot-2, 225-pound Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles School linebacker Scott Betros did however.

Betros' trip pushed Illinois' chances of landing him higher, and he spoke candidly about his thoughts concerning the Illini program overall.

He's also considering Duke, Indiana, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Wake Forest.
