Rivals250 linebacker Lyndell Gibson planned to attend the Virginia Tech spring game recently. The 6-foot-0, 212-pounder out of Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem is planning to reschedule the trip in the near future.

"I haven't talked to the coaches from Tech about coming up soon," he said. "I do plan on making a visit.

"Since the tragedy, it does make me think about safety and protection more when I'm looking at where I want to go. What happened doesn't affect my recruiting with Virginia Tech though."
