Going into last spring, Eufaula (Ala.) DE Courtney Upshaw had never played high school football. Playing in college, let alone the SEC, never crossed his mind.

He had played some Pee Wee, and even middle school ball, but was hurt his freshman year and didn't even bother as a sophomore.

Not long after Upshaw's first season had ended, the offers started to roll in. Auburn was first and Alabama, Troy, Kentucky, Southern Miss, Georgia and South Carolina.
