Napier scouts emerging DB on CU's radar

Playing for one of the nation's premiere prep powers has given cornerback Makiri Pugh the stage to showcase his developing talents. The 6-foot, 194-pound defensive back out of Charlotte (NC) Independence has five offers and has recently worked his way on Clemson's radar.
"I have a verbal offer from them," Pugh told Tigerillustrated.com in a recent interview.
"Last Monday (April 30) they came to my spring practice and watched our team go through 7-on-7 drills. (Tight ends) coach (Billy) Napier and a coach from South Carolina State (Former Clemson wide receiver and Bulldog wideouts coach Tony Elliott) was there," Pugh continued. "Clemson is just waiting for its defensive coordinator (Vic Koenning) to view my tape so I can get a written offer."
